Prayers.

A Member discharged from custody.

ORDERED, That Mr. Praed, in Custody of the Serjeant at Arms attending this House, for absenting himself from his Service in Parliament, be discharged out of Custody, paying his Fees.

Tryals in Lancashire, &c.

Ordered, That Mr. Newberry, Mr. Adams, Mr. Holmes, Mr. Donelagh, Mr. Cooper, and Mrs. Cotton, do attend this House upon Wednesday Morning next, in relation to the late Tryals in Lancashire and Cheshire.

Warrants for apprehending certain Persons.

Ordered, That Mr. Kitson, and Mr. Coachman, Messengers in Ordinary, do attend this House upon Wednesday Morning next; and bring with them such Warrants as they had for apprehending of Persons conspiring, and endeavouring to suborn Witnesses against the Lives and Credits of several Witnesses for their Majesties, against Persons charged with High Treason.

Supply Bill; Irish Forfeitures.

Mr. Bridges, according to Order, presented to the House a Bill for vesting the forfeited Estates in Ireland in their Majesties: And the same was received; and read the First time,

Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time upon Friday Morning next.

Chippenham Election.

A Petition of several Burgesses and Freemen of the Borough of Chipenham, in the County of Wilts, in behalf of themselves, and others, was presented to the House, and read; setting forth, That Sir Bazill Firebrase was, on the 19th of November 1694, duly elected a Burgess to serve in Parliament for the Borough of Chippenham, in the room of Tho. Talmash Esquire, deceased; yet the Bailiff of the said Borough has returned Richard Long Esquire, as duly chosen: And praying the Examination by the House, and Relief in the Premises.

Ordered, That the Examination and Consideration of the said Petition be referred to the Committee of Privileges and Elections: And that they do report the Matter, with their Opinion therein, to the House.

Tryals for Treason.

A Bill for regulating of Tryals in Cases of High Treason, and Misprision of Treason, was, according to Order, read the Second time.

Resolved, That the Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House.

Resolved, That this House will, upon Saturday Morning next, at Eleven a Clock, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider of the said Bill.

Triennial Parliaments.

The House, according to the Order of the Day, resolved itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider of the Bill for the frequent Meeting and Calling of Parliaments.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.

Colonel Granvile took the Chair of the Committee.

Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Colonel Granvile reported from the said Committee, That they had gone through the Bill; and made several Amendments; which they had directed him to report, when the House will please to receive the same.

Ordered, That the said Report be made upon this Day Sevennight.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Eight a Clock.
