Ease of Jurors.

A BILL for the Ease of Jurors who serve at the Assizes in England and Wales, was read a Second time.

Resolved, That the Bill be committed to Mr. Waller, Mr. Dawney, Mr. Burrington, Mr. Thornhaugh, Mr. Christie, Mr. Thompson, Mr. Clark, Sir Jona. Jennings. Mr. Fawkes, Sir John Kay, Mr. Hawtry, Mr. Bathurst, Mr. Bowyer, Mr. Palmes, Sir Tho. Haslerig, Sir John Parsons, Mr. Bickerstaff, Sir Wm. Drake, Lord Cornbury, Sir Cha. Bloys, Mr. Gwyn, Mr. Mansell, Mr. Slater, Mr. Lutterell, Mr. Lloyd, Mr. Perry, Mr. Kenyon, Mr. Archer, Mr. England, Mr. Hutchinson, Mr. Fuller, Mr. Gee, Sir Ra. Carr, Sir Robert Cotton, Mr. Blofeild, Mr. How, Mr. Lampton, Sir Wm. Strickland, Sir Robert Edon, Mr. Lassels, Sir Orlando Gee, Mr. Wilmot, Sir Wm. African Company.

Ordered, That the Committee, to whom the Examination and Consideration of the Petition of the Royal African Company of England is referred, have Power to send for Persons, Papers and Records.

Duties on Paper, &c.

Resolved, That this House will, upon Wednesday Morning next, at Ten a Clock, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider of the Act, made the last Session, intituled, An Act for granting to their Majesties several Duties upon Vellum, Parchment, and Paper, for Four Years, towards carrying on the War against France.

Tryals in Lancashire, &c.

Then the House resumed the Examination and Confideration of the Matter touching the late Tryals in Lancashire and Cheshire.

And Mr. Lunt, attending according to Order, was called in; and examined.

And then withdrew.

Ordered, That William Cooper and Robert Dandy be summoned to attend this House.

Ordered, That Sir Henry Wingfeild, Mr. John Perkins, Mr. Witherington, and Mr. Robert Wingate, be summoned to attend this House.

Ordered, That Sir William Williams, Mr. Serjeant Gould, Mr. Hawles, and Mr. Napp, be summoned to attend this House.

Ordered, That Sir Bartholemew Shore be summoned to attend this House.

Ordered, That Mr. Bagshaw be summoned to attend this House.

Ordered, That Mr. Upton, and Mr. Cheshire be summoned to attend this House.

Mr. Brereton and Mrs. Cotton, attending according to Order, were severally called in; and examined.

And then withdrew.

Afterwards Mr. Brereton, and Mrs. Cotton, and Mr. Newberry, were called in; and examined together.

And then they withdrew.

Mr. Vernon, attending, according to Order, was also called in; and examined.

And then withdrew.

Ordered, That Mr. Vernon be dismissed from further Attendance.

Ordered, That Mrs. Anwell; the Master of the House at the Ram-Inn in Smithfeild; and the Master of the House at the Three Herrings in Redcrosse-street; and an Oilman on Snow-hill, lately a Constable; and a Justice of Peace, in Gutter-lane; be all summoned to attend this House.

Ordered, That the further Examination and Consideration of the Matter, touching the late Tryals in Lancashire and Cheshire, be adjourned until To-morrow Sevennight, at Ten a Clock.

Ordered, That the several Persons this Day ordered to be summoned to attend this House, do, on To-morrow Sevenight, give their respective Attendances accordingly.

Ordered, That all the Persons that were, by Order, to attend this House this Day, do again attend on To-morrow Sevennight, at Ten a Clock.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Eight a Clock.
