ORDERED, That the Bill for registring Memorials
of Deeds, Conveyances, and Wills, be read a Second
time To-morrow Morning at Eleven a Clock.
Apothecaries exempt from Parish Offices.
A Bill for exempting Apothecaries from serving the
Offices of Constable, Scavenger, and other Parish and
War Offices, was read a Second time.
Resolved, That the Bill be committed to Sir John Bolles,
Sir Gervas Elwes, Sir John Banks, Mr. Smith, Doctor
Barbon, Mr. Stonehouse, Mr. Christie, Mr. Hutchinson,
Mr. Brewer, Mr. White, Sir Fra. Blake, Mr. Lutterel,

Duties on Paper, &c.
Resolved, That this House will, upon Friday Morning
next, at Eleven a Clock, resolve itself into a Committee
of the whole House, to consider of the Act, made the last
Session, for granting to their Majesties several Duties upon
Vellum, Parchment, and Paper, for Four Years, for carrying on the War against France.
Tonage Duties.
Resolved, That the said Committee do also take into
Consideration the Act, made the last Session, for laying
several Duties upon the Tonage of Ships, as it relates to
the Isle of Wight, and Town and County of Southampton,
and the Town of Portsmouth.
Encouragement of Privateers.
Mr. Gwyn, according to Order, presented to the House,
a Bill for the better Encouragement of Privateers: And
the same was received.
The Bill was read the First time.
Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time.
Ways and Means.
A Motion being made, and the Question being put,
That this House will, To-morrow Morning at Eleven a
Clock, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House,
to consider further of Ways and Means for raising the
Supply to be granted to his Majesty, for carrying on the
War against France with Vigour;

Supply Bill; Land Tax.
The House, according to the Order of the Day, resolved
itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider of
the Bill for granting an Aid of Four Shillings in the Pound,
for One Year, for carrying on the War against France
with Vigour.
Mr. Speaker left the Chair.
Sir Thomas Littleton took the Chair of the Committee.
Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.
Sir Thomas Littleton reported, That the said Committee had made some Progress in the Bill to them committed;
and had directed him to move, That they may have Leave
to fit again.
Resolved, That this House will, upon Saturday Morning next, at Eleven a Clock, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider further of the said
Bill.
