Privilege.

THE Burgesses assembled, upon the former Adjournment ; and the first Matter moved, was, that Tho. Finch, Servant to Sir Mich. Sonds, was arrested upon Friday last, the 6th of February.

Ordered, for an Habeas Corpus; and for Harrison the Serjeant, and his Yeoman, with Tho. Knight, at whose Suit he was arrested.

Member sworn.

Sir John Ackland was sworn in place of Sir Tho. Ridgeway, Knight for Devon.

Privilege - Arrest of a Member.

A Motion by Sir Rob. Johnson, touching Mr. James of the Isle of Wight, being arrested upon an Execution.

And Mr. James reported the Case : That he was arrested about the Exchange; that he told the Serjeant, he was a Burgess of Parliament: They answered, if they did more, than they might justify. -

Mr. Serjeant presently to go for the Attorney, that procured the Arrest: Which was done accordingly. The Attorney could not be found.

Bills of last Session.

Mr. Speaker readeth such Bills, as were handled the last Session; and declareth the State of them : And so were left.

Committees.

He readeth the Remembrances of the Committees; and moveth, that some Course might be taken, for further Proceeding.
