African Trade.
Ordered, That Leave be given, upon the Report of
the Bill to settle the Trade to Africa, to offer a Clause,
for Liberty to export foreign Copper in Bars.
Lustrings Trade.
Sir Rowland Gwyn, according to Order, presented to
the House a Bill for the Encouragement of the Lustring
Company: and the more effectual preventing the fraudulent Importations of Lustrings and Alamodes: And
the same was received.
Resolved, That the Bill be read To-morrow Morning.
Woollen Manufacture.
Ordered, That the ingrossed Bill for the better improving the Woollen Manufacture be read the Third time
upon Monday Morning next.
Sale of Alveston Manor.
An ingrossed Bill, from the Lords, intituled, An Act
for vesting the Manor of Alveston and other Lands
therein mentioned, in the County of Gloucester, in Trustees, to be sold, for Payment of Debts, and for other
Purposes therein mentioned, was, according to Order,

The Lords have agreed to the Bill, intituled, An Act
to rectify some Mistakes in an Act, intituled, An Act to
enable John Lewin to sell certain Messuages in Southwark, for Payment of Debts, without any Amendment:
Also,
Children of Soldiers Nat.
They have agreed to the Bill, intituled, An Act to
naturalize the Children of such Officers and Soldiers, and
others, the natural-born Subjects of this Realm, who
have been born abroad during the War, the Parents of
such Children having been in the Service of this Government, without any Amendment: Also,
Supply Bill; Duties on Coffee, &c.
They have agreed to the Bill, intituled, An Act for
continuing the Duties upon Coffee, Tea, Chocolate, and
Spices, towards Satisfaction of the Debt due for Transport-Service for the Reduction of Ireland, without any
Amendment: Also,
Supply Bill; Duties on Coals.
They have agreed to the Bill, intituled, An Act for
granting to his Majesty several Duties upon Coals and
Culm, without any Amendment: Also,
Repealing 39 Eliz. against making Malt.
They have agreed to the Bill, intituled, An Act to
repeal an Act, made in the Thirty-ninth Year of the
Reign of Queen Elizabeth, intituled, An Act to restrain
the excessive making of Malt; and to discharge and vacate Orders made, by Justices of the Peace, by virtue
thereof, for restraining Maltsters from making of Malt;
without any Amendment. Also,
Cary's Estate.
The Lords have agreed to the Amendments, made by
this House, . . . . . . . . intituled, An Act for vesting a
Moiety of certain Messuages and Lands in Hackney, in
the County of Middlesex, in Trustees, for the Benefit of
Susanna Cary, Widow, and Relict of Nicholas Cary
Esquire, deceased, and others: Also,

The Lords do insist upon the Clauses B and C, which
were added by their Lordships, to the Bill, intituled,
An Act for erecting Hospitals and Work-houses within
the Town of Colchester, in the County of Essex, for the
better employing and maintaining the Poor there: Also,
Counterfeiting Coin.
They have agreed to the Bill, intituled, An Act for
the better preventing the counterfeiting, clipping, and
other diminishing, the Coin of this Kingdom, with some
Amendments: To which they desire the Concurrence of
this House.
And then the Messengers withdrew.

The House proceeded to take into Consideration the
Amendments, made by the Lords to the Bill, intituled,
An Act for the better preventing the counterfeiting,
clipping, and other diminishing, the Coin of this Kingdom:
And the said Amendments were twice read; and are
as follow; viz,
Sheet 2d, L. 23, for "and pay or allow the Persons
that tendered the same the true Value thereof," read
"And if any Question or Dispute shall arise, whether the
Piece so cut be counterfeit, it shall be heard, and
finally determined, by the Mayor, Bailiff or Bailiffs,
or other chief Officer, of any City, or Town Corporate, where such Tender shall be made; and if such
Tender shall be made out of any City, or Town Corporate, then by the next Justice of the Peace of the
County, inhabiting or being near the Place, where
such Tender shall be made: And the said Mayor, or
other chief Officer, and Justice of the Peace, shall
have full Power and Authority to administer an Oath,
as he shall see convenient, to any Person, for the determining any Questions relating to the said Piece."
Ordered, That the further Consideration of the said
Amendments be adjourned till To-morrow Morning.
