PRAYERS.

List of Officers, &c.

RESOLVED, &c. That it be referred to the Committee for the List of the Officers of the Lord General's Army, to go to the Lord General this Afternoon; and confer with him, concerning the Officers that are to be retained, and those that are to be cast; and concerning such Persons that fall off that are fitting Men to be Reformadoes, to be reduced into one Regiment; and to be One of the Six Regiments of Horse: And are to make Report of all To-morrow.

Billeting Soldiers.

Ordered, That the Committee formerly appointed to state the Accounts of the Billet and free Quarter of the Soldiers in Hartfordshire, shall have Power to meet, any Four of them.

Army Establishment.

Ordered, That it be referred to Mr. Scawen, Mr. Wheler, Mr. Cage, Sir Arth. Heselrig, or any Two of them, to consider of and prepare an Establishment of the Army, according to the Ordinance now in passing, the Orders and Votes of the House made in that Behalf: And are to meet when and where they please: And have Power to send for Parties, Papers, and Records.

Message to Lords.

Sir Tho. Barrington went up to the Lords, to desire a Conference, by Committees of both Houses, so soon as may stand with their Lordships Conveniency, concerning the Scotts Affairs.

He carried up likewise, the Ordinance for Importation of Currans.

Scotts Army Committee.

Sir H. Vane jun. presented to the House, an additional Instruction to the Instructions to be sent to the Committee residing with the Scotts Army, touching the receiving and collecting of the Arrears of the Papists Estates in the Northern Counties: The which was read; and assented unto.

Debt to Cunningham.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Committee at Goldsmiths Hall, to consider of some Means and Ways of satisfying and paying the Monies due to Mr. Tho. Cunningham, for Arms and other Provisions delivered by him, upon the Account of the State.

Scotts Army.

Ordered, That the Committee at Goldsmiths Hall do take care, and speed away the constant Provisions for the Scotts Army in the North.

Excise.

Resolved, &c. That the several Excises now set, shall continue for Six Months longer, to begin from September next, for the Use of the Commonwealth.

Tin Farmers.

Ordered, That the Committee of the Revenue do give Leave to the Tin Farmers, to engage their Credit for the Payment of the Three thousand Pounds, in April next, for Arms and other Provisions, for Sir Wm. Waller; and be discharged of so much.

Answer from Lords.

Sir Tho. Barrington brings Answer, That the Lords will give a present Meeting as is desired: And, as to the Ordinance for Currans, they will take it into Consideration; and send Answer by Messengers of their own.

Windesore Garison.

Ordered, That the Business concerning Windesore Garison be taken into Consideration, the first Business, after the Report made by Sir Philip Stapilton from the Committee of both Kingdoms.

Message from Lords.

A Message from the Lords, by Sir Robert Rich and Mr. Page;

The Lords have agreed unto and passed the Ordinance concerning the Levant Merchants, as it went from hence, without any Alteration.

The Lords desire, that, at this Conference, they may impart something concerning the Houshold at Saint James's, about the King's Children.-

Committees added.

Ordered, That the Committee of Cheshire and Shropshire be added to the Committee for Sir Wm. Brereton's Ordinance.-

Committee of both Kingdoms.

Ordered, That Sir Philip Stapilton make his Report from the Committee of both Kingdoms, as soon as the House comes from the Conference.

Answer to Lords.

Answer returned by the same Messengers; That this House has considered their Lordships Message; and do agree, that, at this Conference, they shall impart what they desire, concerning the Houshold at Saint James's.

Oxenbridge's Legacy to Parliament.

Ordered, That the Executors of * Oxenbridge, a Merchant, lately deceased, at Ligorne, do forthwith pay One thousand Pounds to Mr. Spurstoe, a Member of this House; which Sum the said Mr. Oxenbridge hath given, by Will, to the Parliament: And the said Sum is to be disposed of by Mr. Spurstoe, upon Account, to Colonel Mitton; to be employed for the Service of the Garison of Wembe: Out of which Sum, it is desired a Monument be erected, in Memory of him the said Mr. Oxenbridge.

Wembe Garison.

Ordered, That it be recommended to the Committee of both Kingdoms, to take into Consideration the Condition of Wembe, and of sending Relief, if they be in Distress.

Cheshire Ordinance.

Ordered, That the Committee for Cheshire and Shropshire be added to the Committee for the Ordinance for Cheshire: And are to meet To-morrow, at Two Clock, in the Duchy Court.

Delinquents Estates.

Ordered, That such Monies as Sir Tho. Midleton shall, from this time, discover, and are not yet discovered, and prove to belong to Delinquents, shall be employed by him, for the raising of Forces for North Wales; provided it exceed not the Sum of Ten thousand Pounds: And that it be referred to the Committee for Examinations, to examine the Proof of the Delinquency of the Persons whose Monies or Estate he shall so discover: And Sir Tho. Midleton is to receive these Monies, upon Account.

Royal Family.

Mr. Rous reports from the Conference, that the Lords had appointed a Committee to join with the Committee of this House, for the regulating of the Family at Saint James's; and they desire this Committee may meet To-morrow, at Eight of Clock.

Ordered, That the Committee of this House be joined with the Committee of Lords; and do meet To-morrow, at Eight of Clock, for regulating of the Family at Saint James's.

Taking of Hillesden House.

A Letter, of the Fourth of March, from Sir Samuel Luke, concerning the taking of Hillesden House, was read:

Ordered, That it be referred to the Committee of both Kingdoms, to consider of Hillesden House, whether it be fit to slight it, or garison it; and to do therein as they shall think best for the Advantage of the Publick.

Army Pay.

A Letter from Saint Albans, of the Sixth of March, from Serjeant Major General Skippon; representing the great Necessity of the Army, was read.

Ordered, That the Committee at Haberdashers Hall do take care to pay One thousand Pounds to the Treasurer at Wars, to be sent to Saint Albans, To-morrow, for the Payment of the Foot of the Lord General's Army: And the Care hereof is referred to Mr. Strode and Mr. Bond.

Newport Pagnell.

A Letter, from Cambridge, of the Second of March, from the Earl of Manchester, concerning Newport Pagnell, was this Day read: And

It is Ordered, That it be referred to the Consideration of the Committee for the Garison of Aylisbury, to call before them the Party that brought this Letter; and to know of him the Particulars of the Wants and Defects of that Garison; and to represent them to the House; and the Means of supplying them.

The Covenant.

Ordered, That the Committee for the Covenant do make their Report To-morrow Morning.

Officers in actual War.

Resolved, &c. That this Debate concerning the admitting of such Officers as are now in actual War, as shall come in, be laid aside at present.

Farneham Castle.

Ordered, That the Consideration of Farneham Castle be referred to the Committee of both Kingdoms, to consider how the Garison of Farncham Castle may be maintained.

Ordered, That Forty Barrels of Powder from the Powder Mills near Guildford, shall be laid up in Store in Farnham Castle, for the Service of Sir Wm. Waller's Forces; and to be issued out, upon his Orders and Warrants.

Associated Counties.

Resolved, &c. That the Governors of all the Garisons in the Four associated Counties, ought to receive and obey the Direction and Commands of Sir Wm. Waller, as Major General of that Association.

Military Supplies.

Ordered, That the Committee of the Militia, and Mr. Molins, Comptroller of the Ordinance, do deliver for the Service of the Kingdom in the Employment wherewith Sir Wm. Waller is intrusted, One Demi Culverin called Kill Cow, Three Drakes at Leaden Hall, One Demi Culverin Drake, and one Sacre Drake, upon Shod-wheels with their Carriages; and for Carriages; with Provisions for Sixty Shot Round.

Windsore Garison.

An Ordinance for paying the Arrears of Windsore Castle Garison, out of the First Monies that shall come in upon the Ordinance of Accounts, was this Day read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That a Thousand Pounds shall be paid, presently, out of the Excise, to Colonel John Venne, for the Garison of Windsore.

Resolved, &c. That a Thousand Pounds shall be paid, to Colonel John Venne, for the Garison of Windsore Castle, out of the Arrears and growing Profits of the Court of Wards, next after the former Assignments shall be satisfied.

Ordered, That the humble Petition of Robert Earl of Ancram be, from this House, recommended to the Committee for the King's Revenue.
