Mr. Selden reporteth from the Committee, appointed Yesterday to examine Mr. Norton and Mr. Byll, concerning the Warrant they had to suppress the first Impression of the Petition of Right, with the King's last Answer only; that they found, the Clerk of the Lords House had sent unto them the original Petition of Right, with the King's second Answer; whereupon they, sitting the Parliament, printed about 1500; whereof few divulged. That, about One Day after the End of the Session, Mr. Attorney sent for Mr. Byll to his Chamber, and told him (as by his Majesty's own Command, as be said) that those should not be published; and that the Lord Privy Seal told him as much: And that, upon the Sunday following, he was sent for to Whytehall, by Mr. Attorney, and was there told by him, that they must print the Petition of Right, with the first Answer, and his Majesty's Speech. These contained in divers Papers, and written in several Papers; and upon the last of them a Warrant. That the Papers fastened together in a strange Manner.

There being Doubt, whether a Question shall be made, about the Sending for these Papers; Resolved, To put a Question, whether a Question shall be made of it.

The Question being put; Resolved affirmatively.

Upon Question, Mr. Norton and Mr. Bill to be sent to, from this House, to be here

To-morrow Morning, and to produce those Papers, to which the Warrant, for the Printing of the Petition of Right, with the Additions, is affixed.
