Ordinances making Robert Earl of Warwick Lord High Admiral and Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports repealed.; Council of State to exercise his powers.
The Parliament now assembled do Enact and Ordain, and be it
by Authority of Parliament Enacted and Ordained, that all
Ordinances made or passed this present Parliament, for the constituting Robert Earl of Warwick, Lord High Admiral of England,
Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports, or either of them; and all Letterspatents under the Great Seal of England, passed for the constituting
the said Robert Earl of Warwick Lord High Admiral of England,
or Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports, or either of them; and all
Powers and Authorities given to the said Robert Earl of Warwick,
by the said Ordinances, or the said Letters-patents, for or concerning the said Office of the Lord Admiral and Warden of the
Cinque Ports, or either of them be henceforth repealed and made
void, to all intents and purposes. And be it by authority aforesaid
further Enacted and Ordained, That the Councel of State appointed
by Authority of Parliament, shall have and exercise all such Power,
Jurisdiction and Authority, and are hereby authorized and enabled
to do and execute all such things as pertain to the Office of Lord
High Admiral of England and Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports,
in as ample maner, and to all intents and purposes, as the Lord
High Admiral, Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports, or either of them,
have used and ought to do, for the good and safety of the Commonwealth of England, and due government of the affairs and persons
belonging to the said Offices.
