Footnotes

  • 1. "The Seinye" or Diocesan Synod of St Andrews seems, after the beginning of the 14th century, to have been usually held either at St Andrews or at Edinbugh. When the Synod sat at Edinburgh it assebled in the conventual church of Holyrood. The time of meeting was, as at St Andrews, immediately after Easter.
