This Table calendars (1) warrants addressed (unless otherwise stated) to the Clerk of the Signet Attending, directing him to prepare either bills for the Royal signature to pass (unless otherwise stated) the Great Seal containing presentations, grants or approvals of elections to Bishoprics, Deaneries, or minor ecclesiastical benefices, or congés d'élire or letters recommendatory, recommending certain persons for preferments by election, and (2) congés d'élire for elections to vacant bishoprics or " letters recommendatory" or similar letters recommending certain persons for preferments by election.

Appointing Thomas Ayloffe, LL.D., Reader of Civil Law in the University of Cambridge, vice Dr. George Oxinden, deceased. To hold during good behaviour. Salary, 40l. a year out of the Exchequer as from Christmas last, with all rights. A proviso to be inserted leaving power to the Queen to revoke the grant any time by letters patents under the Great Seal. Pp. 331, 332.

To the Master and Senior Fellows of Trinity College, Cambridge.
Recommending to them "in the most effectual manner" John Colbatch, B.D., Fellow of the College, to be immediately admitted one of the preachers of the College, with all usual rights, fees, &c. As Colbatch is to attend Algernon, Earl of Hertford (eldest son of the Duke of Somerset, Chancellor of the University), in his travels beyond seas, we dispense for the present with his obligation, on such admittance, to expound the catechism, since his journey is to begin so soon that he cannot do so before his return. On his return, he must discharge the duty when required by the Master and Senior Fellows. Pp. 99, 100.

To the Archbishop of Canterbury.
To grant his dispensation to Bishop Hooper of St. Asaph to hold the Deanery of Canterbury in commendam with his Bishopric during his incumbency of the same and the dignity of Chanter and Canon Residentiary of Exeter for two years from 1 October, 1703; also the Archdeaconry of St. Asaph and the rectory of the parish church of Landrinio with its appurtenances, and also any other three benefices with or without cure in the said diocese which belong to that Bishop's proper presentation, donation or recommendation, so as all three exceeds not together the value of the 50l. per annum in the Queen's books, and with licence of permutation of all or any of them, as the said Bishop shall see good cause; provided that the three benefices so chosen shall be within a convenient time carefully entered in the register of the said Bishop and likewise in the register of the Archbishop of Canterbury. All to be held by the Bishop in commendam during his life or incumbency in the Bishopric, with all usual rights. P. 102.

Similar to foregoing, and in favour of the same Bishop Hooper, but the grant of the Chantership &c. of Exeter is to be for three years from 1 October, 1703, and thenceforward till an Act of Parliament be passed for annexing to the Bishopric of St. Asaph (1) the Archdeaconry thereof, and (2) the Rectory of Landrinio or its equivalent. Pp. 103–5.
