Information that in 1643 and 1644 he sent horse and arms to Pontefract Castle, and came to reside in Sheffield when it was a garrison for the King, and left it the day the Parliament forces besieged it. That he furnished parties with horses and arms, and rode with them himself from Sheffield, and in case of danger to the town, fled to the castle for refuge. 22

Information that he was a captain for the late King, and was slain in his service before Lincoln in 1643; that he had lands in Washingley worth 1,400l. a year, which were sequestered by the county committee in 1643, and John Castle, of Glatton, chairman of the said committee, has taken Price's son as a ward, keeps back annuities payable from the lands on pretence of the sequestration, but does not account for the rents and profits. 22

That in 1643–1645 he was fellow in King's College, Cambridge, but left the University to bear arms in Banbury. With order to the county commissioners to take examinations, allowing him to examine and cross-examine. 22
