Order of the Committee at Goldsmiths' Hall, that it be reported to the House that this committee will proceed with new delinquents till they receive peremptory orders to the contrary.
Order of the Committee at Goldsmiths' Hall, allowing the names presented by [John] Jackson to the committee, as those from whose fines Col. Thos. Mitton is to receive the 5,000l. allowed him by Parliament order of 14 August last, and order for payment thereof out of their fines, as they are paid in. [G 5, p. 40; 101, p. 787.] Annexing,
i. Order of Parliament alluded to, for payment to him of 5,000l. from the fines or estates of delinquents not formerly discovered nor compounded for, to be discovered by him. 14 August 1648. [G 101, p. 803.]

Jan. 5. 1. Order of the House of Commons, that the General be desired to prohibit all delinquents and Papists from coming to or staying in London or its liberties, or within the late lines of communication, or within ten miles of the city, and to secure such as shall be found within the limits aforesaid six days after date, except those licensed by Fras. Allen and Saml. Moyer to come to prosecute their compositions, or such as have already compounded and paid in their money. [2/3 page; also G 1, p. 199.]
Jan. 5. Order of the Committee at Goldsmiths' Hall, that no review be henceforth admitted in any case where the fine has passed in both or either Houses. [G 5, p. 42.]

Jan. 11. Blank form of licences to be granted by the Committee at Goldsmiths' Hall, for persons to continue in London to prosecute their compositions, the order of the House of Commons of 5 January to the Lord General, to prohibit all Papists and delinquents from being in or near London, notwithstanding. [G 5, p. 44.]
Jan. 16. Petition of Edw. Curle, sequestrator for Catsash Hundred, co. Somerset, to the Committee for Compounding, for allowance for his discovery of 300l. a year omitted from delinquents' compositions, of which Sir Hum. Mildmay has already compounded for 75l. a year, and Sir Rob. Banister for 108l. Will discover more in other hundreds. [G 79, p. 103.] Enclosing,
i. Note of particulars omitted in compositions for delinquents' estates in co. Somerset, and presented by petition to Edw. Ash, one of the Committee for Compounding. Total, 397l. 10s. 0d. a year. [G 79, p. 105.]
Jan. 17. 2. Order of the House of Commons, that the Committee at Goldsmiths' Hall state the matter of fact touching the moneys that were to be paid to Scotland, and the particular assignments thereof, and present a report thereof to the House this day week; the care of this business referred to Mr. Fry. [½ page; also G 1, p. 208.]
Jan. 18. 3. Order of the Committee at Goldsmiths' Hall, on an order of the House of Commons given, of 17 January, on report by Miles Corbett of the reasons given by the treasurers at Goldsmiths' Hall why a stop is made of the payment of 40,000l. to the use of the navy,—that the Committee at Goldsmiths' Hall be required to give warrant to the said treasurers to make payment of the remainder of the 40,000l. to the use of the navy, according to the former order of this House—for payment accordingly. [Also G 1, p. 208; 5, p. 52.]
Jan. 22. Order of the Committee at Goldsmiths' Hall, that the Navy Committee be desired to meet this committee on Thursday afternoon, concerning the money to be paid to the navy.
Like Order, on an order of the House of Commons given, of 26 Sept. 1648,— that the county committees to whom the liberty of compounding with delinquents is granted certify to the Committee at Goldsmiths' Hall particulars of the estates on which they compound, and the sums paid on compositions, to be there recorded,—requiring returns accordingly within 10 days after composition. Jan. 23. 4. Order of the House of Commons, that the Committee at Goldsmiths' Hall pay or order payment of the remainder of the 40,000l. to the navy, according to former orders, before they pay Sir Wm. Dick, notwithstanding the order of this House for that committee to state the matter of fact about moneys to be paid to the Kingdom of Scotland, and the assignations thereof.
