York, of 11 Nov. 1654—that a particular of those claimed be sent in and examined by the registrar, with the surveys remaining with the said trustees; and if they agree, the committee will give such orders as may be most agreeable to their trust, and may most free the trustees from trouble and expense. [G 27, p. 348.]

Details of arrears due by Edw. Roberts of Abergavenny and others. Request that Mrs. Evans may be made to deliver the books of the late committee, which she retains, though often demanded. [G 173, p. 687.]

April 9.
Blandford.
Jas. Dewy to the Commissioners for Sequestrations. Particulars of cases, co. Dorset. I asked how I was to compel Thos. Sampson, to whom Lady Brooke has let Sherborne Rectory, to pay the rent, the ministers much complaining for want of their augmentations; as it consists of tithes and corn, no distress can be taken; and if I re-enter, I should void the grant, and there would not be so much bid again, it being let very high.
I have seized the estates of several persons active in the late rebellion, and beg directions how to proceed. [G 173, p. 693.]
April 12. Order of the Commissioners for Sequestrations, that Dawbeney Williams, the solicitor, enquire of Mr. Noel, registrar to the Committee for Removing Obstructions, and Mr. Billinghurst, registrar to the Irish Trustees, for reprises made to purchasers of estates sold, which ought still to continue under sequestration, that the profits may be received to the use of the State. They are to permit him to take notes out of the books thereon. [G 27, p. 366.]
