May 4. 44. Sir John Bourne to the Privy Council. Confesses his great offence, and that he has greatly misbehaved himself towards the Bishop of Worcester. [Slightly mutilated.]

47. John Abington and Edw. Darell to the Council. Difficulty in procuring provisions for Newhaven. Delay for want of money, without which nothing could be done.

48. Same to same. Scarcity of Provisions in Newhaven. Negligence of the Commissioners. Nothing can be done without an immediate supply of money. Statement of provisions, &c. sent to Newhaven.

49. John Abington to same. Is sorry for the untrue report of scarcity at Newhaven. On hearing the rumour he and Mr. Darell agreed to go to Arundel and ship such provisions as could be obtained there.
