Officers not to be exchanged.
RESOLVED, &c. That this House doth adhere to the Order formerly made on the Tenth of October last, concerning Officers that served the Parliament in Ireland, not to be exchanged.
Ordered, That it be referred to the Committee for Prisoners to meet this Afternoon, to consider of a fitting Man to be exchanged for Sir John Northcott.
Answer from Lords.
Mr. Strode brings Answer, That the Lords do agree to the Order carried up by him, for Monies, out of Haberdashers Hall to the Garison of Windesore: And as to That concerning Mr. Thane, &c. they will send Answer by Messengers of their own.
Resolved, &c. That Three thousand Pounds shall be forthwith provided for the Garisons under the Power of the Parliament; and be disposed of according as the Committee of both Kingdoms shall direct.
Message to Lords.
Mr. Strode is appointed to go up to the Lords, to desire them to pass the Order concerning Mr. Thane, Gentleman Usher of the House of Peers, &c.; and to acquaint them, that there is an Ordinance in the Case; and that, by That Ordinance he cannot protect the Goods of any Delinquent.
Mr. Bond, * Wheler, * Holland, * Vassall, * Ashe, * Pye, * Strode, * Hodges:
This Committee, or any Three of them, is appointed to meet this Afternoon, where they shall think fit, to consider of providing Three thousand Pounds, to be disposed of as the Committee of both Kingdoms shall appoint, for the Garisons under the Service of the Parliament; and to make Report To-morrow Morning.
Resolved, &c. That an Hundred and Fifty Pair of Pistols, and an Hundred and Fifty Backs, Breasts, and Pots, be forthwith provided for the Arming of Sir Samuel Luke's, and Captain Andrewes his Troops; and be paid for out of the Monies that come in at Haberdashers Hall, next after the Assignment already made and assigned upon those Monies.
Whereas Three hundred Men of the Trained Bands of Middlesex, are sent to the Castle of Windesore, for the Securing thereof; It is Ordered, upon the Question, That an Hundred Pounds a Week be allowed to those Men, for a Fortnight, out of the County of Middlesex without the Lines of Communication: And the Deputy Lieutenants of the said County are desired to take care herein.
Ordered, That the Committee of the King's Revenue be desired to pay to * * * *, one of the Assembly of Divines, Twenty Pounds, to be disposed of by the said * * *, to such as were employed, and did discover and apprehend James the Priest, that was active in the Escape of Macguire and Mac Mahon.
Haberdashers Hall Committee.
Mr. Strode brings Answer, That the Lords do agree, that the Committee at Haberdashers Hall proceed, according to the Desire of this House.
Message from Lords.
Message from the Lords, by Sir Edw. Leech and Dr. Aylett;
That the Lords have sent down to this House a Letter from Prince Rupert to my Lord General; and likewise a Safe Conduct, under the King's Hand, for those that are appointed to go with the Propositions: And also do desire that the Committee of this House, appointed to meet about the States Ambassadors Demands, may meet this Afternoon.
Ordered, That the Members of this House of the Committee concerning the States Ambassadors, be enjoined to meet this Afternoon.

Letters from the King, &c.
The Letter from Prince Rupert to my Lord General, dated 16 Novembris, 1644, at Marlborough; and also the King's Letter, of the same Date, and from the same Place, concerning a Safe Conduct; were read; and ordered to be referred to the Committee of both Kingdoms; to consider of the same; and to do therein, as they shall think fit.
Ordered, That the House be resolved into a Grand Committee, To-morrow, at Eight of Clock, to take into Consideration the Advice of the Assembly concerning Church Government.
Ordered, That the Committee at Haberdashers Hall do, out of the Monies that come in there, pay the Sum of Three hundred Pounds to Lieutenant Colonel Roe, for the Payment for Three hundred Backs, Breasts, and Pots, for the Soldiers under Sir Wm. Waller's Command.
Ordered, That Lieutenant Colonel Roe do deliver the Three hundred Backs, Breasts, and Pots, ordered for Sir Wm. Waller's Army, to Commissary Fox, to be sent to the Army.
Ordered, That the Committee for Offices do meet, on Wednesday next, in the Star Chamber, at Two of Clock in the Afternoon: And the Members of this House that are concerned therein, are ordered then to attend, or to send to that Committee what concerns them herein.
