51. Sir Ro. Cecil to [the Earl of Essex ?]. Pardon my shortness; I cannot write more than the Queen and my Lord have written. I am glad that the Queen is cleared, by some of your friends, from some suspicions that might have troubled you. Your friends will not alter without expostulating the cause; I doubt not but you will observe the same course. Endorsed in a later hand, "Minute from Sec.
