[Middx.]A. 1801. Confirmation by Robert, son of Ralph the Clerk, of Stebenhethe, for 6s., of the grant made by his father Ralph to John le Ghyepe of 3½ acres of land in Crepene and Walemarsh. Witnesses:—William Cole, Brice de Hecham, and others (named). Seal.

[Middx.]A. 1802. Grant by John Richer, of Edelmeton, to Richard, the prior, and the canons of Holy Trinity, London, of 6d. yearly rent that Nicholas, son of Henry de Edelmeton, pays for land in Edelmeton. Witnesses:—William de Forda, James le Sune, John de Lesnes, and others (named).

Grant by Henry son of Reiner, and Joan his wife, to Robert Blund, brother of Walter Blund, of their land in the parish of St. Mary de Sumersate adjoining the soke of the archbishop of Canterbury, from the highway to the Thames; paying therefor 40s. yearly. For this grant Robert has given them a 'copula' towards the building of their hall. Witnesses:—Hugh de Baalum, William son of Sabelina, and others (named). Two seals.

[Middx.]A. 1805. Release by Hugh Peverel, of Edelmeton, to John, the prior, and the canons of Holy Trinity, London, of 8d. yearly rent which they were wont to pay him for land called 'Stinkindeland' in Edelmeton. Witnesses:—William de Forda, Peter Spirk, and others (named). Seal.

Release by Walter Joye, son of Benedict Joie, butcher, to Josce Younger (Juniori), for 100s., of 8s. quitrent that Roger de Benedisse, butcher, pays yearly for a certain shop in the market-place (Macello) of Estchep. Witnesses:—Andrew Bukerell, Mayor of London, Girard Bat and Robert Hardell, sheriffs, and others (named). [20 Henry III.]

Grant by Richard, the prior, and the convent of Holy Trinity, London, to Edeva, widow of Estmund Campe, for 2 marcs, of land with buildings in the parish of St. Edmund in London, of the size and situation specified, paying 5s. yearly. Witnesses:—John Travers, Walter de Insula, aldermen, and others (named). [Henry III.]

Grant by Adam Bucuinte to John son of Walram, of the land that Walram held in Eggeswere, between land belonging to St. Albans abbey and the highway to Watford, beyond Grimesdich; land between Grimesdich and the land that Oliver held of him, on the road to Watford; and all the land in front of the land of the canons of St. Bartholomew toward the south, from the way to Watford to Adam's common of pasture; paying therefor 2s. 6d. yearly. Also release by the same to the same of three virgates of land which he claimed against Andrew Blund, and Lucy his wife, in the King's Court at Westminster, and whereupon the said Andrew and Lucy called John to warranty. Witnesses:—Robert de Stanmere, Gilbert de Hendon, and others (named). Portion of seal.

Grant by Giles Porter, of Stratford, to Laurence atte Hull and John Fansour, the elder, of all the lands and tenements which he lately had by gift of Hugh Holbeche and Matilda his wife, in the parishes of St. Mary of Brambeleye and Whitechapel without Algate, London, 1 July, 44 Edward III. Seal.

Grant by Ralph Triket, the King's Chamberlain, to the canons of Holy Trinity, London, of the croft called 'Hograve' and the morsel of land by their barn, in frank almoin; also Nordmade, Sparwehe, Wilda, and Wigewich, the land that was Edmund's and the land that was Hugh son of Baldwin's, and the said Hugh's dwelling house with field adjoining (which lands Robert de Ponte held of him in Brambeley and has presented to the canons), paying therefor half a marc yearly; of which grant he informs the bishop of London and others. Witnesses:—The lady Ermingard, Walter son of Ulger, William de Arraz, and others (named).

Grant by Thomas, son of Simon le Draper, to Peter de Stratford, and Cecilia his wife, of land in Brambeley, in fields called 'le Gardin' and 'le Bery,' situate as described, paying "therefor yearly 3s. to the prior and convent of Holy Trinity, London. Witnesses:—William de Cornhulle, Hamo and Roger de Bedfunte, and others (named). Seal.

Grant by John, son of Richer de Edelmetun, to Richard, the prior, and the canons of Holy Trinity, London, of all the land that Adam, son of Edric the Dyer, of London, held of him in Edelmetun, paying therefor 4d. yearly. [Middx.]A. 1816. Grant by R[ichard], the prior, and the convent of Holy Trinity, London, to Walter son of Gilbert of four acres at Brembeley, upon Boilande, paying therefor 4s. yearly. Witnesses:—William de Pyro, Hamo de Cruce, and others (named).

Grant by P., the prior, and the convent of Holy Trinity, London, to William le Noreis, of 3 acres at Brambeley in the field called 'Edmundsfield,' all the wall with the willows south of that field, a pond and ditch, a wall by Richard Tuthait's house, extending to the Lea, a wood (wilda) adjoining the 3 acres, and the wall which was the way to the old mill; saving the way that was upon the first-named wall to men going to St. Leonard's church and returning, for ever, and the way for horses carrying grain to the mill of the said canons, and bringing it back, when necessary; paying half a marc yearly. Other covenants specified as to repairs, making and working floodgates for the mill ponds, &c. Witnesses: —Roger Huscarl, Robert de Pynkeni, William de Pyro, and others (named). Seal.
[Middx.]A. 1818. Grant by Richard, the prior, and the convent of Holy Trinity, London, to Emeric, son of Hugh de Brembeley, for 5 marcs, of 3 acres in Brembeley in the field called ' Boiland,' paying therefor 12d. yearly. Witnesses:—Robert de Pinkeny, Hamo de Bedefunt, and others (named).

Grant by Peter, the prior, and the convent of Holy Trinity, London, to Almaric, son of Hugh de Brambeley, for 9 marcs, of 6 acres in the field called 'Boilande' [in Bromley], in the lower tillage, between the little grove of the nuns of Stratford and their great field called 'Brodefeld'; paying therefor 2s. yearly. Witnesses:—John de Solio, then alderman, Robert Pinkeny, Hamo Bedfonte, and others (named). Seal.
