Commission from the LordGeneral.

ORDERED, That the Commission sent from my Lord General be brought in this Afternoon: And that the Committee proceed to perfect the Examinations.

Post Meridiem. Post Concionem Matutinam.

Preachers thanked.

ORDERED, That Sir Wm. Massam do render Thanks unto Mr. Marshall and Mr. Sedgewick, for the great Pains they took in the Sermons they preached, at the Desire of this House, this Day at St. Margaret's, being the Day of publick Thanksgiving for the Discovery, and the great Deliverance from the late horrid and treacherous Design: And that he desire them to print their Sermons; and that they have the like Privilege for printing their Sermons, as others, in the like Cases, usually have.

Publick Thanksgiving.

Ordered, That a Message be sent to the Lords, to desire them to appoint a Day for a publick Thanksgiving to be given unto God, by the whole Kingdom, for his great Mercy in the Discovery and Deliverance from the late horrid and treacherous Design.

The Covenant.

Mr. Anth. Nicoll, Mr. Arth. Onslowe, Sir Wm. Lewes, Mr. Henry Shelley, took the new Oath, and Covenant.

Ordered, That the several Members of the House now present do subscribe their Names to the Covenant lately taken by them, in the Book prepared for that Purpose, within these Three Days.
