[Linc.] A. 7601. Bond by Adam de Belfago of Lincoln to warrant certain land in Wikeford (Wikefordia) near the church yard of St. Andrew to Walter Brand for 12d. rent paid him by the said Walter. Witnesses:— Sir William son of Giles, mayor of Lincoln, and others (named).

Grant by Robert Maulore of Welleton, knight, to John his younger son, in tail, with reversion in default to himself and his heirs, of the land he had from Simon son of Segwyn Maulore together with a messuage and croft adjoining, in Welleton, and together with all the meadow belonging to the said land, except 8a. he had exchanged with Sir Simon de Trop and Sir Ralph his son and with Robert de Duston and Robert le Heyr of Welleton, in place whereof he had given his said son other 8a., viz. part in 'Le Hemewong,' part at Colemaneslak, part on Crokeho, and part on Michelewellehul, with further grant of pasture for four oxen and two plough-beasts (affrorum) in Thruspittemor and Grenesiche, and pasture for six cows, in 'Le Grene,' along with his own, at the rent of a clove gillyflower for all service, save 12d. yearly to the heirs of Stapeltone. Indenture of demise by Hugh de Braundeston, to John Martyn of Gorscote, Agnes his wife, and Emma their daughter, for their lives, of a tenement in Lappeworth, with a house built thereon, &c. adjoining land called 'Plounton fourlong; paying 8s. yearly, and a heriot at John's death, and doing suit of court every three weeks. Grant by Osbert [son of William], to the chapel of Cove, in pure alms of one rood of land, for the soul of Henry the younger . . . . and for the souls of his parents and children, and for the health of himself and wife. Appointment by John de Bisshopesdon, knight, of Edmund son of Warin as his proctor, in the matter of the advowson of a mediety of the church of Morton Merehull, which, with a certain glebe of the same advowson, he had conveyed to the master and brethren of the hospital of St. John, Warrewych; as also in the matter of the grant, made to him by the said master and brethren, of the perpetual ecclesiastical service of two priests, brethren of the said house; authorising the said Edmund to appear before the bishop of Worcester, &c. in his name. Indenture between John Hyde of Coventre, 'gentilman,' of the one part, and Herry Gaybell of Fardyngeston, Julyan his wife, and Willyam their son, of the other part; reciting that Willyam, lord Hastynges, Willyam Catesby, 'esquier,' John Eltonhede, 'squier,' Willyam Austyn of Norhampton, 'gentilman,' and Thomas Hunt of the same town, 'draper,' feoffees of the said John Hyde, had demised, 1 Oct., 15 Edward IV, to the said Herry, Julyan, and Willyam their son, for their lives, a place in Fardyngeston called 'Overcourt' with all lands &c. belonging, rendering yearly 35s. 8d. to the said feoffees for the use of the said Hyde; covenant by Hyde for himself and his heirs that they will 'ordeyne, fynde, and carie 'upon their proper costs and expenses 'almaner grete tymbre as often as behofull and necessarie shalbe,' to the said place during the said term, &c. 4 November, 15 Edward IV. Indenture of demise by John Mallore of Welton to William Haddon of Welton, Joan his wife and John their son of a messuage and half virgate of arable with meadows and pastures and other appurtenances to the said messuage and land belonging in the town and fields of Welton, which Andrew Goodewyn formerly held of Sir John Mallore, knight, his father, together with a croft adjacent called 'Lyllyngeszerde'; to hold for the term of their lives in survivorship from Michaelmas then next, rendering 18s. by three yearly payments, and [boon] works for six days in the autumn; and they shall yearly mow the eighth part of two holms of one gore of meadow and . . . . his overmede in Welton, in lieu of all other service; and he shall repair a grange of two bays in the said messuage when it shall first require it with timber and the working of the same; and they shall keep the buildings in repair from trees growing in the garden and croft there. Warwick, when the same should come to his hands after the death of Thomas Stanley, knight, lord de Stanley, who held it for life; also further appointment of the said William to be steward for life of the manors or lordships of Aston 'in the Walles,' and Appultre, co.
