531. London Borough Libraries

The archives departments of several boroughs hold large, and sometimes uncatalogued, collections of deeds, etc. for the Greater London area. It was possible to identify the following relevant material.

a. Barnet Public Libraries, Local History Library: Box 9131 incl. 17C schedule of 16C–17C deeds (15, 43, 46, 64, 78, 92, 104, 152).

b. Lambeth Archives Department, Minet Library. Surrey Deeds (calendared, but imperfectly indexed), 6236, 12933: 17C deeds (62, Seething Lane).

c. Lewisham Archives and Local History Department: A81/66, 7/2 Box B incl. 17C lease (Thames Street).

PLA Library and Archives, Cannon Workshops, West India Dock, London E14. The archive incl. 17C deeds and papers (43, East Smithfield) and a 19C copy of a 17C drawn survey (East Smithfield).
