The following list of buildings of architectural or historic interest in the Borough of
Southwark was prepared under Section 30 of the Town and Country Planning Act, 1947. The
list was approved by the Minister of Town and Country Planning in 1950, and has been amended
subsequently. Grades I and II form the statutory list; Grade III is a supplementary list which,
although it has no statutory force, comprises buildings with some claim to protection.
