June 22.Thos, Lord De la Warr to Salisbury. Is weak from the effects of his long sickness, but no whit discouraged from proceeding with the business he has undertaken if it be prosecuted as it is begun. Would not have returned so suddenly if the winds had favoured his intentention for the West Indies at his departure from Virginia. Dares boldly say that there was never more hope than at present. Doubts not but to give full satisfaction to every doubt or scandal that lies upon that country, fearing nothing less than an honourable and profitable end, if it be not let fall. [DOMESTIC Corresp.
