A duty having been paid on tobacco imported from the Somers Islands from the beginning of that plantation, for providing ammunition and maintaining forts, ministers, and civil and military officers there, until very lately, some persons have withdrawn it; the members of the Company and all persons trading to those islands are ordered to pay the usual yearly duty not exceeding one penny per pound, on all tobacco imported from thence.
