1,352. Governor Sir William Beeston to the Duke of Shrewsbury. I transmit a duplicate of my letter of Oct. 17, 1696, and the news I have received of M. Amblmont's squadron, and the examination of three French prisoners taken by Capt. Moses. (etc. Cal. 1697. No. 639 vii.) The Spaniards, in spite of the peace, use our people barbarously.
