Petition of Right.

Serjeant Hoskyns reporteth from the grand Committee, that they have agreed upon the Arguments, both for refuting the Lords Arguments for the Addition, and of our, against the admitting it; and that they have distributed all into a rational Part, to be delivered by Sir H. Martyn, assisted by Sir N. Rich, and Mr. Pymme; and the legal, by Mr. Glanvyle, assisted by Mr. Selden, and Mr. Mason.

A Message to the Lords, that we ready for a free Conference, when their Lordships please, by Mr. Treasurer.

Mr. Treasurer reporteth, the Lords will give a present Meeting for a Conference.

The Speakers, and their Assistants, to have Place given them by all the Members of the House ; and the Names of all to be taken, which shall hinder it.

Members thanked.

A Report from the Conference, that both the Gentlemen, that spake, have deserved especial Thanks from this House, for performing the Service enjoined them by the House, to the great Honour thereof. Whereupon a general Expression of Thanks to them, with Acclamation and putting off Hats.

House to sit.

Mr. Serjeant Davenport and Ayloffe bring from the Lords a Message; That the Lords have resolved, for expediting this great Business, to sit this Afternoon; and desire this House will do the like, if it may stand with the Conveniency of this House.

Sabaoth.

The Amendment in the Bill of the Sabaoth (which came from the Lords) being " Two," instead of " One," twice read, and then ordered to be inserted in the ingrossed Book; and then thirdly read, and, with this Amendment, passed.

Ministry.

Sir Ro. Harley reporteth the Bill for the better Maintenance of the Ministry, with some Amendments, and an Addition in Paper: Which twice read: And the Amendments, and Addition, to be fair written, and then to be thirdly read.

Lord Aburgenye.

Mr. Jones reporteth the Lord Aburgenye's Bill, without any Amendment.

Morgan's Estate.

Mr. Morgan's Bill, thirdly read 19 Maii last, but not then opened, was now opened by Mr. Speaker. - Upon Question, passed.

The Clause in the Committee of the Bill of Explanation of the Statute 3o Jac. concerning Recusants, " that all, which will come, shall have Voice," to be taken out; and the Committee, specially named, to stand.

Bill for Continuance of Statutes. - To-morrow, Seven Clock, in the Committee Chamber.

Salt-peter.

Committee for the Bill of Salt-peter, - Monday Two Clock, in the former Place. Knights and Burgesses of Dorsettshyre and Barkshyre added to the Committee.

Conference.

Mr. Attorney General and Mr. Serjeant Davenport bring from the Lords a Message; That the Lords desire a present Conference, in the Painted Chamber, between a Committee of both Houses, if it may stand with the Conveniency of this House.

Answer returned by the same Messengers: This House will give Meeting, as is desired.
