Van Brugh.

L. 1. AN Act for the Naturalizing of Gyles Van Brugh.

Message from the King.

Mr. Chancellor of the Duchy delivereth a Message from his Majesty, that he will very shortly give an Answer to the Petition of Right from both Houses. That his Majesty, for the weighty Affairs of the Kingdom, desiring to expedite the finishing of this Session, desireth, there may be no Recess these Holidays, but, that the House sit, and proceed to the Finishing of the Businesses of this House.

Resolved, To defer the Resolution herein till To-morrow Morning; and the Precedents to be looked up by the Clerk, and then presented.

Not to leave Town.

Ordered, No more Members of this House shall go out of Town.

E. of Devon's Estate.

The Lord of Devonshyre desireth, that all, that are unsatisfied with his Bill, will, at the Committee this Afternoon, declare their Objections ; wherein he hopeth to satisfy them; for would be loth to offer any thing to the House, which shall be thought unfitting.

Baber's Petition.

A Petition from Mr Baber, read. Upon Question, Mr. Baber, upon the Acknowlegement of his Offence, &c. not to be admitted presently.

Ld. Mohun.

Sir Francis Ansley : - That the Lord Mohun, having received Notice privately from him, will acquaint the Lords with it, and give him Answer.

Ordered, His Defence to be made here by Saturday Morning; else the House to proceed.

Timber.

The Privy Council of this House added, to the Committee for Preservation of Timber: - To meet Tomorrow in the Afternoon, in the former Place.
