Bahamas.

Building a Fort.

The report upon Mr. Fitzwilliams' memorial touching the building a Fort at the Bahamas, ordered to be prepared the 26th of last month, was agreed.

Plantations General.

Surveyors General, to be of the Council.

The report with circular instructions to all the Governors in America, for admitting the Surveyors General of the Customs there, to be of the several Councils within their respective districts, ordered to be prepared the 24th of last month, was agreed.

Trade.

Africa.

Gum Coast.

The report upon the memorial of the African Company, relating to their right to the Gum Coast, ordered to be prepared at the last meeting, was agreed.

Trade.

Russia.

The representation relating to the Russian trade, ordered to be prepared the 19th of the last month, was agreed.

August 8. Present:—Mr. Bladen.

Virginia.

Four Acts to be confirmed.

Mr. Fane's report upon four private Acts of Virginia was read, and they having remained in this office about three years, without any objection being offered against them, a representation, proposing the confirmation of them, was agreed and signed.

Plantations General.

Letter from Mr. Carkesse, Surveyors General, to be of the Council.

A letter from Mr. Carkesse, with the names of the Surveyors General in the Customs in America, was read.

The report with the circular instructions to all the Governors in America, for admitting the Surveyors General of the Customs there, to be of the several Councils within their respective districts, agreed at the last meeting, as also

The report upon Mr. Fitzwilliams's memorial concerning the building a Fort at the Bahamas.

The representation, relating to the trade to Russia, agreed at the last meeting, was signed, as also a letter, inclosing the same to the Lord Harrington.

Gum Coast.

The representation, relating to the African Company's right to the Gum Coast, agreed at the last meeting, was signed, as also a letter, for inclosing the same to the Duke of Newcastle.

St. Christophers.

Audain's Act, sent to Mr. Fane.

Ordered that an Act, passed at St. Christophers in 1722, to enable Andrew Audain and Peter Audain, etc., to sell a plantation, be sent to Mr. Fane, for his opinion thereupon in point of law.

Barbadoes.

Letter from the Governor, with this deposition.

August 15. Present:—Mr. Bladen.

A letter from the Lord Howe, Governor of Barbadoes, dated the 1st July, 1733, was read, and the paper, therein referred to, laid before the Board:—
Copy of the deposition of Richard Crawden, the 30th of June, 1733, relating to the seizure of two sloops at the Island of Tobago by a Spanish sloop, and carried to the Island of Margarita.

Sent to the Duke of Newcastle.

And a letter, for inclosing the same to the Duke of Newcastle, was signed.

Nova Scotia.

Mrs. Campbell alias la Tour.

An Order of the Committee of Council, dated the 15th inst., referring to the Board the petition of Agatha Campbell, window, setting forth her right to certain quit rents in Nova Scotia, was read, and directions were given for preparing the draught of a representation thereupon.

Barbadoes.

Mr. Fane's report, Act, support of government.

Mr. Fane's report upon an Act, passed in Barbadoes in 1733, for the better support of his Excellency and the dignity of the government of this island, was read, and directions were given for preparing the draught of a representation for confirming the same.

The representation for confirming an Act, passed in Barbadoes in 1733, for the better support of his Excellency, and the dignity of the government of this island, ordered yesterday to be prepared, was agreed and signed.

Letter from the Judge of the Admiralty.

A letter from Mr. Byfield, Judge of the Admiralty, complaining of his being interrupted in his office by the people of the Massachusetts, dated the 3rd of August, 1732, was read.

Paper currency.

A copy of an Order in Council, dated the 10th of May, 1733, upon the Assembly's desiring certain instructions to the Governor of New England, relating to paper currency, and to the supplying the Treasury, may be abolished, was read; and ordered that a copy thereof be sent to Mr. Belcher.
