Tuesday, June 2. Present:—Lord Monson, Mr. Plumer, Mr. Fane.

Virginia.

Read a letter from Sir William Gooch, Lieutenant Governor of Virginia, to the Board, dated at Williamsburg, February 17th, 1746–7, giving an account of the burning of the Capitol of that city, but that the records were preserved, though in such disorder, that he must defer to another time, the sending publick papers.

The draught of an answer to this and other letters, received since the Board's last to him, having been agreed to, and transscribed, was likewise signed.

New Hampshire.

The draught of a letter to Mr. Wentworth, Governor of New Hampshire, in answer to one received from him, was laid before the Board and ordered to be transcribed.

Thursday, June 4. Present:—Lord Monson, Mr. Plumer, Mr. Fane.

North Carolina.

Read the report of his Majesty's Attorney and Solicitor General, dated June 3rd, 1747, upon an Act, passed in North Crolina, in the year 1715, by the Proprietors of the said province, entituled, An Act concerning Attorneys from foreign parts and for giving priority to Country Debts; referred to them by the Secretary's letter, dated the 2nd of April last.

Bahama.

The draught of a letter to John Tinker, Esquire, Governor of the Bahama Islands, agreed to by the minutes of the 26th of last month, having been transcribed, was laid before the Board and signed.

New Hampshire.

The draught of a letter to Mr. Wentworth, Governor of New Hampshire, having been transcribed, as ordered by yesterday's minutes, was laid before the Board and signed.

Jamaica.

The draught of a letter to Mr. Trelawney, Governor of Jamaica, in answer to all such as have been received of him since the Board's last, having been agreed to, was ordered to be transcribed.

Leeward Islands.

The draught of a letter to Mr. Mathew, Governor of the Leeward Islands, mentioned in the minutes of the 19th of last month, was agreed to and ordered to be transcribed.

Tuesday, June 16. Present:—Lord Monson, Mr. Plumer, Mr. Grenville, Lord Dupplin.

North Carolina.

The draught of a representation to his Majesty against an Act, passed in North Carolina, in the year 1715, mentioned in the preceding minute, was laid before the Board, agreed to, transcribed and signed.

Leeward Islands.

Jamaica.

The draught of a letter to General Mathew, Governor of the Leeward Islands, in answer to several received from him, having been transcribed, as ordered by the preceding minutes, was laid before the Board and signed, as was the draught of a letter to Edward Trelawney, Esquire, Governor of Jamaica.
