Same to same to direct payment of 627l. 4s. 4d. to the coal meters of London port for their services in measuring the coals brought into said port for one year ended 15 May 1699 being after the rate of a halfpenny per chaldron out of which they are to allow a moiety to the under meters. June 3. Treasury reference to the Customs Commissioners of the petition of Mark Wildbore, Customer of Harwich, shewing that he was Collector of Whitehaven at the Revolution where he stopped arms and ammunition going to Dublin to Tyrconnell, which were afterwards transported to Londonderry "and was a great means of saving that town"; that he paid the freight and transport charges of same; and further was employed whilst at Whitehaven by the Navy Commissioners and Transports Commissioners in hiring and fitting ships for transporting the army to Ireland for which he advanced a month's pay to every ship; also bought and provided provisions both for men and horses for the said service: in all which he sustained great losses and has never had any allowance for his incident charges and for time and pains in coming to London to solicit for his disbursements: that he is 1900l. in arrear to the King which was purely occasioned by his zeal as above: therefore prays to be remitted said debt. But it is the King's pleasure now to allow half the whole sums charged on them by the said Transports Commissioners. Ibid.

Royal warrant to the Lords Justices of Ireland to place the following Regiments (sent into Ireland on the conclusion of the peace and which were regularly subsisted in England) on the Establishment as paid in Ireland from the respective days as below: and in the case of those Regiments which were sent from Flanders and were not regularly paid their subsistence to the time of their embarcation for Ireland that same be placed on the said Establishment from the days of their landing there; all by reason that difficulties have arisen in the application of the King's order which directs the subsisting of them there from the time of their landing only, whereas they pretend that they have been subsisted on the English Establishment for a period short of that date and thereby are losers of the intermediate days' pay whilst other Regiments arrived there before the expiry of the time for which they were paid on the other side and thereby may have been paid doubly for some days.
