Prefatory Note.

This Volume was completed by the late Dr. Shaw with the exception of the Index which has been compiled by Mr. E. C. Matthews, of the Public Record Office, and of certain of the Declared Accounts. (See Note to Volume XX of this Series.)

A few Declared Accounts for 1706 have been omitted as their importance did not justify publication. For a full list of Accounts covering the period, see Public Record Office, Lists and Indexes, No. II.
