SIR Robert Johnson bringeth in the Bill to restrain the Commissions of Purveyors; and, upon the Question, to be ingrossed.

Throckmorton's Estate.

1. Reading: - B. For the Settling of the Manor of Rye, in the Counties of Glocester and Worcester, upon Wm. Throckmorton Esquire, and his Heirs, according to a Feoffment thereof made by Charles late Earl of Devon.

Bowling.

Sir Edward Mountague bringeth in the Bill for the Lawfulness of Bowling.

Upon the Question for ingrossing, the House divided :

Fees for Copies.

Mr. Hoskins bringeth in the Bill against the Abuses in Writing of Copies ; and reporteth, that the Bill containing the same Matter that other Bills afore did contain, preferred this Session; and that the Committees not thinking fit to deal with Fees heretofore usual and accustomed; they thought therefore fit that the Bill should sleep until the next Session.

He also bringeth in the Bill for Skinners, as agreed by the Committees; with a Proviso, to continue till the End of [a] the next Parliament.

The Bill and Proviso thirdly read; and, upon the Question, to be ingrossed.

Elections.

Mr. Winch bringeth in the Bills for the Election of Knights and Burgesses, &c.

The particular Bill to sleep.

Fens.

Mr. Moore bringeth in the Bill for the Draining of Fens, upon the Re-commitment, with new Amendments ; the Amendments twice read; and Two Provisoes brought in; which were committed:- - Both rejected.

Another Proviso offered by Sir John Peyton, and rejected.

Forestallers, &c.

Mr. Lawrence Hyde bringeth in the new Bill against Purveyors and Car-takers, with Amendments; which being read ; ordered to be ingrossed.

Attainders - Gunpowder Plot.

Mr. Solicitor bringeth in from the Committee the Bill Attainders - of general Attainders, with sundry Amendments; giveth the Reason of them ; bringeth some Provisoes of Mr. Tresham, and other Provisoes; but saith, the Committees thought fit to have a Conference with the Lords, before the Amendments were read and offered to the House. -

Clergy Subsidies.

Sir John Crook, Mr. D. Swale, and Sir John Tyndall, bring from the Lords, the Act for Confirmation of the Subsidies of the Clergy : -

And that, for ecclesiastical Causes, they will give Conference and Answer upon Saturday, in the former Place, with the former Committees.

The House resolveth to attend it.
