On behalf of John de Eglinton, canon of the monastery of Jedword, bachelor of canon law, lecturing at Paris, for a benefice in the gift of the abbot and convent of Jedword, and the prior and convent of St. Andrews, notwithstanding that he has the priory of Blantyre, dependent on the said monastery, which he is ready to resign.
On behalf of a member of his household, Alan de Bute, priest, for a canonry of Dunkeld, with expectation of a prebend, notwithstanding that he has the church of Methfen, in the diocese of St. Andrews.
On behalf of a member of his household, Robert de Cardun, student in arts at Paris, for a canonry of Moray, with expectation of a prebend, notwithstanding that he has canonries and prebends of Dunkeld and Dunblane.
On behalf of Malcolm de Halle, priest, for a benefice in the gift of the bishop of St. Andrews, value 40 marks with cure of souls, or 30 without.

The pope, motu proprio, reserves to Duncan Petit, archdeacon of Whiteherne, bachelor of civil and canon law, ambassador of the king of Scotland, and keeper of his secret seal, a benefice in the gift of the bishop of St. Andrews, value 100l.

The pope, motu proprio, makes provision to the same Duncan Petit, of a canonry, with expectation of a prebend, in the gift of the bishop of Glasgow, even if the presentation belongs to the abbot of Melros, or to any other abbot having power to present to canonries and prebends of Glasgow; but so that this expectation is cancelled if the papal grant to Duncan of the archdeaconry of Lothian, and canonries and prebends of Aberdeen and Moray, void by the death of David Marr, has taken effect. Dec. anno 1, and the said John died before the letters were executed, the pope is prayed to make a like grant to John's friend, William de Calabre, of noble birth, canon and prebendary of Aberdeen, of a benefice in the gift of the said bishop, value 100 marks, notwithstanding that William is dispensed on account of illegitimate birth.
