| We are well aware of the good-will which your Majesty bears towards us, and more especially have we made proof thereof by the courteous words which your Secretary used to our Secretary in Danzig. | ||
| We have commissioned our beloved Bartolommeo Corsini to purchase grain in England; we accordingly beg that your Majesty will not only sanction the export of thirty thousand stara (fn. 1) of grain, but will also extend to Corsini your gracious favour in all that may concern the operation. | ||

| If the King of Spain sends to effect a truce, I pointed out that it would be against Turkish interests to give him any assistance, for his policy was to subdue England and France, then to destroy Venice, and then to make himself master of the whole world. | ||
