The late king of Scotland, when Margaret married his son Alexander, since decased, made order that, if she survived her husband, there should be paid her yearly, on the 1st of August, 1300 marks from the revenues of Berwic, in Scotland, belonging to the said king, and 200 marks from his manor of Linlitheu, in the diocese of St. Andrews, as dower or marriage gift; and that if the proceeds of the manor did not amount to 200 marks, the balance should be made up from the revenues of Berwic. On Alexauder's death this dower was confirmed on Margaret's petition by Honorius IV. but as she has received nothing this mandate is issued.
