Richard Peverel acknowledges that he owes to John de Preston, citizen of London, 20l.; to be levied, in default of payment, of his lands and chattels in co. Dorset.
Enrolment of acknowledgment of receipt by John de Preston, citizen and roper of London, from Richard Peverel, kinsman and heir of John Peverel, knight, and Richard Bagge and John de la Mare, chaplain, executors of the will of John Peverel, of 100l., in which John was bound to him by a recognisance made in chancery, 10 May, 3 Edward III. Dated at the New Temple, London, on 26 January.
Memorandum, that John de Preston came into chancery at the said Temple on the said day, and acknowledged the preceding letters.
Memorandum, that John de Preston granted that the said recognisance for 100l. should be cancelled.
Henry, earl of Lancaster, puts in his place Michael de Wath, clerk, to prosecute the execution of a recognisance for 100l. made to him in chancery by John Charnels, parson of Swepston church.—The chancellor received the attorney.
Enrolment of release by John de Flete, son and heir of Robert de Flete, to Matilda de Flete, of all his right and claim in all that tenement with houses built thereon, which Matilda and Ralph Burdet, late her husband, held of the gift and enfeoffment of the said Robert de Flete, in the parish of St. Bride, in Flete strete, in the suburb of London, which tenement lies in breadth between the tenement of Robert de Swodhull, cook, on the east, and that of John le Beel on the west, and extends in length from the highway of Flete strete towards the north, as far as the tenement of John le Beel towards the south. Witnesses Henry Darcy, mayor of London, Walter Neel and Nicholas Crane, sheriffs of that city, Richard Lacer, alderman of the ward, William Tepesfeld, Reginald de Thorpp, William Waltham, Robert de Assch, Richard Hockele, Walter Marescal, Thomas Giles, Walter att Sloo, William Deveneys, John Wolfel. Dated in Flete strete on Sunday after Epiphany, 11 Edward III.
Memorandum, that John de Flete came into chancery at London, on 28 January, and acknowledged the preceding deed.

Enrolment of release by John son of John Blaket, knight, to Thomas de Lincoln, of all his right and claim in all those lands, rents, services, woods, meadows, pasture with hays, chaces and warrens, which Thomas holds of John's gift and enfeoffment in Wandlesworth, Wymbeldon and Batertheseye. Witnesses: Richard Costantyn, John de Shyrburn, William de Brunne, John Russel, John de Colwell, Henry Chayner. Dated at London on Friday, the morrow of the Circumcision, 11 Edward III.

Order, upon sight of these presents, to cause proclamation to be made in that city that all merchants of Spain, Catalonia, Lombardy, the duchy of Aquitaine, and certain other places beyond who are in the king's friendship, who wish to come to the realm with their merchandise, shall come safely under the king's protection, and traffic there according to the charter of Edward I, forbidding all, under pain of forfeiture, to do any harm to such merchants but to treat them kindly, so that they exercise legal merchandise and pay the customs due to the king.
