Kennington.
To the treasurer and barons of the exchequer. Order to cause 4l. 2s. 6d. to be allowed to the prior of Folkestan, if it is found to be due to him, in the 100s. which he owes for the goods and chattels found in his priory, taken into the king's hands because he is an alien, charging Geoffrey de Say therewith, as the prior has besought the king to cause this to be done, as Thomas de Baa, whom Geoffrey appointed to buy and purvey victuals for the king's use in co. Kent, deputed in his place, bought of the prior 10 quarters of wheat and 15 quarters of barley for 4l. 2s. 6d., and delivered that corn to the mayor and barons of the port of Dover for the munition of certain ships about to set out in the king's service, as may appear by part of an indenture under Thomas's seal, and by the letters of receipt of the mayor and barons, which are in the prior's possession, as he says. Kennington.
To the surveyors, collectors and purveyors of wool in the East Riding, co. York. Order to cause all the wool not yet delivered to the late collectors of customs in the port of Kyngeston-upon-Hull, to be taken to that port with all speed and delivered by indenture to John de Barton and Robert de Lichefeld, the present collectors, according to the king's previous order, as the former collectors have been amoved from their office. The king has ordered John and Robert to receive the wool.
