To the treasurer and chamberlains. Order to pay to Robert de Colby of Lincoln 10l. for Michaelmas term last of 20l. which the king ordered to be paid to him, as Reginald de Conductu and John de la Pole, deputed to receive the king's wool in parts beyond the sea, received wool of Thomas de Colby of Lincoln, merchant of the value of 183l. 16s. 5d.; and he asserted in chancery that there were due of that sum, to Robert 20l. and to Isabella Blake of Lincoln, 130l. for such wool bought of them by him, and the remaining 33l. 16s. 5d. were due to him, and at Thomas's supplication the king granted allowance on the custom and subsidy to Robert for 20l. on his wool taken from the port of Boston, according to the form used in letters patent concerning such allowances, and Robert restored the letters to chancery to be cancelled, beseeching the king to order 20l. to be paid to him, as he cannot have wool for such allowance, and the king promised to pay him the said 20l., one moiety at Michaelmas last and the other moiety at Easter next.

To the same. Like order to pay 16l. 18s. 2½d. for Michaelmas term to the said Thomas, to whom the king granted such allowance, as he restored the letters of allowance to be cancelled.
