Jan. 8.
Westminster.
To the chancellor of Cantebrigge university for the time being. Order to pay to John de Notyngham the king's serjeant, one of the clerks of the treasury, 10 marks a year for life and arrears; as by letters patent of 18 July last the king granted him 10 marks a year for life of the assize of bread and ale and of other victuals in the town of Cantebrigge.

Eltham.
To all farmers and tenants of the lordship of Penreth. Writ of aid in favour of Thomas de Clyfford, retained with the king to serve for a set time at war in the march of Scotland in aid of the safe guard thereof, as they shall be warned or required by him, his deputies or servants. By letter of the signet.
Jan. 15.
Westminster.
To the bailiffs of the town of Cantebrigge for the time being. Order to pay to Nicholas Dagworth knight 100 marks a year and the arrears since Michaelmas last; as for good service the king has granted him for life or until the king shall take other order for his estate 100 marks a year of the fee farm of the said town, as Robert Rous deceased the king's knight had by grant of the late king.
