To the sheriffs of London. Like writ, mutatis mutandis, by mainprise of Walter Rauff, Robert Bussebrugge, Robert Tangele of Godalmyng of Surrey and William Orbury of Derbyshire, in favour of Richard Grace of Surrey and Thomas Grace his son at suit of Robert fitz Robert citizen and grocer of London for render of 10 marks.

To Michael de la Pole the chancellor, John de Waltham clerk keeper of the rolls of chancery, Stephen de Hales, Ralph de Shelton and William de Snetesham, justices appointed to make inquisition in Norffolk concerning trespasses, extortions, maintenances of quarrels, dilapidations, charges, excesses etc. to the decrease of divine worship in the priory of St. Mary Walsyngham and withdrawal of alms and works of piety appointed of old time. Writ of supersedeas omnino, and order to revoke and annul any process made; as John Staple, John Payn and Richard Athewald of Norffolk have mainperned in chancery under a pain of 1,000 marks for John Snorynge prior of that priory, that until the next parliament he shall keep without waste all manors, lands and possessions thereof, and all goods and chattels without alienation, eloignment or dispersal, that he shall not pass to the court of Rome nor send any thither, and shall not attempt aught which may tend to prejudice of the king or crown.

To W. archbishop of Canterbury. Request and order upon his allegiance, as he loves the king and his honour and desires the safety and defence of the church and realm, to summon a convocation of the clergy of that province in the church of St. Mary Salisbury or elsewhere on the feast of St. John ante Portam Latinam next, and to move them to grant a subsidy, certifying in chancery the amount thereof and the terms of payment; as the archbishop is not ignorant how that the king's enemies of France and their allies assembling together have many times invaded the realm by land and sea, and are striving with all their might to destroy the realm and church, the king and all the English tongue, wherefore the king must needs pour forth great sums, the charge whereof he is not able to bear without the aid of his lieges. Richard de Chestrefelde clerk prebendary of the monastery of St. Mary Suthwelle, Henry de Barton rector of Bolton, James de Kyneton rector of Hedoun, Nicholas Dawbenay rector of Claworth, John de Lamley rector of a mediety of Eykryng, John de Markham, Edmund de Sandforde, John de Gaytforde and Hugh de Harworth to Robert de Morton of Bautre. Indenture of lease for twenty years from 1 January 7 Richard II of all lands, rents etc. in Counesburgh, Staynforde, Fysshelake, Haytfelde, Thorne, Fynyngley, Brampcroft, Austrefelde, Heseley, Lympole, Tykhille, Bautre and Doncastre co. York, Marton, Harworth, Styrappe, Oulecotes, Farewath, Norney, Serelby, Blyth, Skaftworth, Mysyn, Lounde, Great Morton, Little Morton, Weston, Muskham, Edenestowe, Scroby and Eykryng co. Notyngham which the lessors have by his feoffment, rendering yearly 100 marks, power being reserved to enter again and hold the premises in their first estate if the rent be two months in arrear, or if the lessee shall die within the said term. Quitclaim of all the lands, closes etc. in Weye Rowaud which the said Walter and Edith have by feoffment of Philip father of the said John. Writ of supersedeas until the octaves of Michaelmas next in regard to their demand against Richard Lescrope, Alexander Besford of Worcestershire and Thomas Charleton of Middlesex, farmers of the temporalities of Nicholas abbot of Westminster pertaining to his own portion, against John Harleston, John Shordyche and John Saunforde, farmers of the temporalities of the prior and convent of Westminster pertaining to their portion, both being in the king's hand, and against the escheators of counties wherein the same are, for the farms or issues of the said temporalities or for an account.

To Richard Ryhale, lately appointed with John de Monte Acuto steward of the king's household, Thomas Morieux knight and Guy de Mareschalcie justices to make inquisition by men of Norffolk what fees and profits were by the then sheriff and by late sheriffs concealed and withdrawn from the keeper of Norwich castle and of the gaol there, from what time, by what title and how, and to hear and determine such concealments. Writ of supersedeas until further order, and order to send into chancery the record and process before them touching the premises, and this writ.
To the coroners in Norffolk. Writ of supersedeas omnino at their peril in respect of all the exigents adjudged against any persons by John de Monte Acuto steward of the king's household, Thomas Morieux knight, Richard Ryhale and Guy de Mareschalcie, of whom the said Richard should be one, lately appointed (as in the last); as the king has issued a writ of supersedeas (as above).

Quitclaim with warranty of all tenements in the parishes of St. Clement Danes without New Temple bar London and St. Mary before Stronde now held by John Stygayn and by him purchased of John Walssh citizen and goldsmith of London. Daniel de Mari, Anthony de Salvagio, Gerard Lomelyn, Humfreonus Pynel and John de Carlo merchants of Genoa (Janua) to the king. Recognisance for 10,000 marks, to be levied etc. in the city of London.
Memorandum of defeasance, upon condition that if it shall hereafter be proved or found that 62 sacks of 'coton' or wool, nine bales of 'canel,' two bales of 'setual,' one bale of paper, five bales of sulphur, 326 bales of almonds, 2,748 frails of figs, 378 frails of raisins, seven bales of 'afflour,' 2,141 loaves of sugar, ten cases of powdered sugar and three bales of raw silk in a great ship of Spain driven by a storm to the port of Plymmouth, which the king commanded to be delivered to the said merchants who claimed the same as their goods, were not or are not theirs but ought to pertain to the king, the said merchants shall at a term to be by the council set them answer to the king and content him of the price or true value thereof, or else that it shall be proved that the same were and are their goods, and ought not to pertain to the king.

Suffolch; and grant of the reversion after the death of John Durward, son of William Durward, of a moiety of all rents and services in Maylond, Althorne, Burnham and Southmenstre called Luttherne, sometime of John Gros and now held for life by John Durward.
