Assignment of dower to Isabel who was wife of William Cogan knight, made by Roger Juyl escheator in Devon at Ufcolmp on Friday after St. Martin 6 Richard II, by virtue of a writ tested at Westminster 26 September that year (text follows); namely the manor of Ufcolmp and 4l. of yearly rent to be taken of the abbot of Dounkiswille and the convent, so that she pay again 53s. 4d. a year to Elizabeth sister and heir of John Cogan, or to any tenant of two thirds of her said husband's lands.
Assignment of dower to the said Isabel, made by John Radeston escheator in Somerset at Wyggebere and Stratton, 4 October 6 Richard II, by virtue of a like writ (text follows); namely in the manor of Wyggebere of the houses of the court two low chambers with a solar thereupon built at the north end of the hall, a third part of a kitchen at the east end, a third part of one bovary at the south end, yearly value nothing beyond reprise, a third part of one dovecot and of a small curtilage wherein it is built, value 2s. 2d., one several garden, wherein are no trees, containing 4½ acres of pasture, in allowance for 9 acres of several pasture assigned to the two thirds, value 4s. 6d. at 12d. an acre, 50 acres in the north field and Nythestratton field, in allowance for 100 acres in the east and west field assigned to the two thirds, value 33s. 4d. a year at 8d. an acre, 6½ acres 2/3 rood of meadow, whereof 4 acres lie in 'Parkmede' and the rest in 'Westmede' on the west side thereof, in allowance for 13 acres 1⅓ rood assigned to the two thirds, value 13s. 4d. at 2s. an acre, one close of 7 acres of land lately held by Robert Pycher, value 4s. 8d. at 8d. an acre, 4s. of yearly rent arising from two cottages held by Avery Collock as tenant at will, 2s. from a cottage likewise held by John Makemery, 6s. yearly paid by Nicholas Powke for a cottage, 3 acres of land and 1 rood of meadow likewise held, 2s. from a cottage likewise held by John Trote, 4d. part of Thomas Baily's rent, a third part of pleas and perquisites of court, value 12d., the chapel in the court, the barton of the court, the 'penfald,' ways and paths within the manor being in common and of no value, total in Wynggebere (sic) 73s. 4d. whereof she is charged to pay 6s. 8d. a year to the sheriff's aid, and 20s. of the serjeanty rent yearly due to the king; in Stratton two messuages and 7 acres held by John Hamelyn as tenant at will, in allowance for six messuages assigned to the two thirds, value 6s. 8d. a year beyond reprise, 13 acres of land, value 6s. 6d. at 6d. an acre, and a third part of 1 acre of meadow likewise held by the said John, in allowance for 2/3 acre assigned to the two thirds, value 8d. at 2s. an acre, 3s. 4d. and ⅓lb. of cumin rent arising from a messuage and 20 acres of land held in fee by Andrew atte Neuwehalle, with wards, marriages and other profits when they shall fall in, in allowance for 6s. 8d. and 2/3lb. cumin arising from two messuages and 40 acres of land held in fee by Thomas Nytere and assigned to the two thirds, total in Stratton 16s. 8d. and ⅓lb. cumin, whereof she is charged with payment of 3s. 4d. in aid of a rent of 8s. and one sparrowhawk or 2s. yearly due to Giles Daubeney and his heirs.
