John de Cornmailes (sic) was engaged in the king's service on Monday the morrow of the Circumcision last, so that he could not appear before John de Foxle and his fellows, justices to take assizes in the county of Wilts, to prosecute the assize of novel disseisin arramed by him against Walter Gacelyn and others concerning a tenement in Northrigge: wherefore the justices are ordered not to put him in default.
