A History of the County of Lancaster: Volume 3
The local history of most of Merseyside east of the Mersey, from Sefton in the north to Speke in the south, and including Warrington, Widnes and Ormskirk. The City of Liverpool itself is covered separately in volume 4.
A History of the County of Lancaster: Volume 7
This volume is mostly taken up with the history of Amounderness hundred, lying north of the Ribble and south of Lonsdale. It covers the coastal town of Lytham, as well as giving an account of major towns including Preston and Garstang. It also concludes the account of Blackburn hundred, mostly covered in volume 6, including the parishes of Ribchester and Chipping.
A History of the County of Lancaster: Volume 8
Covers Lonsdale hundred, the northernmost part of the historic county. To the north it includes the parishes of Cartmel, Hawkshead and Ulverston (now in Cumbria). Further south it covers the parish and city of Lancaster, and the rest of the county as far south as Cockerham, where the hundred bordered that of Amounderness (volume 7).
A History of the County of Middlesex: Volume 4, Harmondsworth, Hayes, Norwood With Southall, Hillingdon With Uxbridge, Ickenham, Northolt, Perivale, Ruislip, Edgware, Harrow With Pinner
This volume covers 10 parishes in north-west Middlesex, completing Elthorne hundred, and covering half of Gore hundred. Five lie within the London Borough of Hillingdon, the others within Ealing, Barnet, or Harrow.
A History of the County of Middlesex: Volume 5, Hendon, Kingsbury, Great Stanmore, Little Stanmore, Edmonton Enfield, Monken Hadley, South Mimms, Tottenham
The volume covers 9 parishes in north and north-east Middlesex, completing Gore hundred and embracing the whole of Edmonton hundred.

Details the eleven parishes of Bloxham hundred, in the far north of the county.
A History of the County of Oxford: Volume 6
The parishes of the hundred of Ploughley, bordering Northamptonshire and Buckinghamshire in the north-east of the county. It includes an account of the town of Bicester.

Relating to an area between the left bank of the Severn and the Weald Moors, covers most of the east Shropshire coalfield.

Somerset's Polden hills divide the county's central marshlands, Sedgemoor to the south and the Brue Valley to the north.
A History of the County of Somerset: Volume 6, Andersfield, Cannington, and North Petherton Hundreds (Bridgwater and Neighbouring Parishes)
Andersfield, Cannington, and North Petherton hundreds together occupy the Lower Parrett valley stretching from the Quantock ridge in the west to King's Sedgemoor in the east, and from the Bristol Channel in the north to the river Tone in the south.
