This volume covers a part of north-west Gloucestershire with the town of Newent at its centre. Ten ancient parishes are treated: Bromesberrow, Dymock, Huntley, Kempley, Longhope, Newent, Oxenhall, Pauntley, Preston and Taynton.
A History of the County of Hampshire: Volume 4
Covers the areas around the northern edge of the county, from Thorngate and Andover hundreds on the western border with Dorset, around to Odiam and Crundall hundreds in the north-east of the county. It includes accounts of the towns of Andover, Aldershot and Basingstoke. It also describes the hundred of the New Forest in the south-west of the county.
A History of the County of Hertford: Volume 2
This volume covers the south and west of the county and includes areas, such as Barnet and Elstree, that are now within greater London. It also includes a detailed account of the city and cathedral of St Albans.
A History of the County of Middlesex: Volume 4, Harmondsworth, Hayes, Norwood With Southall, Hillingdon With Uxbridge, Ickenham, Northolt, Perivale, Ruislip, Edgware, Harrow With Pinner
This volume covers 10 parishes in north-west Middlesex, completing Elthorne hundred, and covering half of Gore hundred. Five lie within the London Borough of Hillingdon, the others within Ealing, Barnet, or Harrow.

The volume completes the coverage of outer Middlesex with the 5 outer parishes of the Kensington division of Ossulstone hundred.

This volume covers 14 parishes in south-west Middlesex. Among the area's extensive modern suburbs are the vestiges of the earlier agricultural villages, and the best known of the surviving large houses are Syon House, Osterley Park, and Strawberry Hill.

Covers Carterton, Minster Lovell, and environs, totalling eight rural parishes in west Oxfordshire, between Burford and Witney.

Covers the west Oxfordshire market town of Witney and the rural townships of Crawley, Curbridge and Hailey, all of which formed a single parish until the late nineteenth century.

Covers the area of the sixteen ancient parishes of Bampton hundred, in the west of the county, bordering onto Gloucestershire to the west and Berkshire to the south.
