Friends of Western Buddhist Order (fn. 1) were leased former fire station at corner of Roman and Globe rds. by G.L.C. 1975, where Lond. Buddhist Centre and Sukhavati reg. as two shrine rooms 1976. (fn. 2) Shrine room at no. 119 Roman Rd., initially called Sukhavati Meditation Centre and later Golgonooza, reg. 1977. (fn. 3) Another community opened at no. 95 Bishop's Way.
