John Arundell of Trerys co. Cornwall knight to the king. Recognisance for 500l., to be levied etc. in Cornwall.
Condition, that he shall appear in person in chancery in the quinzaine of St. John Baptist next, to answer touching what shall be laid against him.

Condition, that they shall abide and perform the award of Master John Stortwayt and William Balsham chosen on their behalf, Master Peter Stucle and Thomas Clerk on behalf of the said Clement, touching all matters, causes, debates, demands etc. between the parties, so that it be made before Sunday next, or of John bishop of Bath and Wells the chancellor as umpire if the arbitrators may not agree, provided his award be made before 1 May next.

Quitclaim with warranty of a messuage, 120 acres of land, 25 acres of meadow, 4 acres of wood and 6s. 8d. of yearly rent in Weston by Baldoke co. Hertford now in possession of the said Peter, and the reversion of all tenants of John Penne in Weston which were of the said John Nele. Letter of attorney, appointing them to give Peter Paule or his attorneys seisin of the third part of a messuage. 120 acres of land, 25 acres of meadow, 4 acres of wood and 6s. 8d. of rent in Weston by Baldoke, and the reversion of all the said John's tenants there. John Penne, son and heir of Margery wife of William Spanby of Aldenham, to Peter Paule, his heirs and assigns. Charter indented with warranty of a yearly rent of 30s. to be taken of all his lands in Aldenham co. Hertford, and he has put him in possession by payment of 1d., upon condition that the said Peter etc. shall hold and enjoy that rent if disseised of a messuage, 120 acres of land, 25 acres of meadow, 4 acres of wood, and 6s. 8d., of rent in Weston by Baldoke and of the reversion of tenants there, all sometime of John Nele otherwise Dernewelle, which the said Peter has by gift of John Penne, or if the premises or any parcel thereof shall be recovered against them by John Penne, his heirs and assigns, or by the said Margery or any other claiming in their right or in right of their heirs or ancestors without fraud or covin. Memorandum of acknowledgment in the said Godewyn's lodging within the sanctuary called the Minoresses without 'Algate' London 12 March this year before Richard Selby clerk, by virtue of a dedimus potestatem which is on the chancery file for this year.
John atte Wode, son and heir of Thomas atte Wode sometime citizen of London, to all his feoffees or others who have an estate in lands in the city and suburbs of London which fell to the said John by inheritance after his father's decease, and which Thomas Holgill esquire lately had by gift of the said John or of his feoffees. Appointment, request and notice to make a release thereof to Thomas Holgill, barring any claim of the feoffees and their heirs, as the said John is shortly to sail for France. Indenture of lease with warranty during the said Joan's life of all lands, rents and services in Nutfelde and elsewhere in Surrey whereof she is tenant for life, rendering yearly 100s., and if distress shall not be found for arrears, it shall be lawful for her or her assigns again to enter and hold the premises in her first estate, thrusting out the lessees, this demise notwithstanding. The said Joan shall repair and maintain the premises, as in houses and buildings, and shall bear all charges. Dated 12 May 12 Henry VI.

Robert Couy 'joynour' to Robert Shiryngton, John Chirche citizen and mercer, both of London, and Richard Selby clerk, their executors and assigns. Gift, subject to the rent and other charges hereinafter mentioned, of his estate in two messuages upon the 'Tourwharf' by the city of London, one head abutting upon the river Thames to the south, a parcel of void land there containing in length from those messuages to the east 40 feet of assize and in breadth from the river to the south 26 feet, and a shop opposite that parcel between the Tower ditch and the high way upon the said wharf, the keeping whereof by letters patent, tested at Westminster 9 November 11 Henry VI, (text follows), by mainprise of John Combe 'skynner' and John Clamparde 'goldsmyth,' both of London, the king committed to the said Robert for forty years from Michaelmas then next, rendering 20d. a year, maintaining houses, enclosures and buildings, and bearing all other charges.
