Mandate to collate and assign to John Macculmarchayn, (fn. 2) clerk, of the diocese of Kilmore, who was lately dispensed by papal authority, on account of illegitimacy as the son of an unmarried man and a married woman, to be promoted to all even holy orders and hold a benefice even with cure, the perpetual vicarage of St. Bridget de Mumayr in the said diocese, value not exceeding 5 marks sterling, void because Nemeas Odroma, who is to be removed, held it for more than a year without being ordained priest. Mandate (the pope having been informed by Dermit Odomnayll, clerk, of the diocese of Derry, that David Omulmucari, perpetual vicar of Maghbile in the said diocese, has alienated etc. moveable goods thereof and converted them to the use of his children, (fn. 3) and committed simony, to the shame of the priestly dignity) if and after Dermit, who is illegitimate, being the son of unmarried parents, and who from fear of David's power has no hope of obtaining justice in the city and diocese of Derry, accuses David before the above three, to summon David, and if they find the foregoing to be true, to deprive and remove him, and in that event to collate and assign the said vicarage, value not exceeding 16 marks sterling, to Dermit, whom the pope hereby dispenses to receive and retain it, notwithstanding the said defect etc. Vite etc. (P. and H. Mandate to collate and assign to Donatus Olongayd, clerk, of the diocese of Cork, who is illegitimate, being the son of a priest and an unmarried woman, the immemorially united perpetual vicarages of Kennay and Macgundi in the said diocese, the value of each not exceeding 5 marks sterling, void by the resignation of Dermit Mecormayc made to Jordan bishop of Cork, although Donatus Olongayd, priest, and Dermit Olongayd, clerk, of the said diocese, who are to be summoned and removed, took possession without any title or right, and have detained it for more than a year but less than two years. To the abbot of Lisgabail in the diocese of Clogher, and John Magugyr and Peter Oflamagan [sic], canons of Clogher. Mandate (the pope having been informed by Thady Macgillacosgli, perpetual vicar of St. Fergus's, Inyscacyn (rectius Inyscaeyn), in the diocese of Clogher, that Philip Mactomais, perpetual vicar of Achadlurcarre in the said diocese, an open and notorious fornicator, has, when under the sentence of excommunication and suspension put forth by the diocesan against such concubinaries subject to his jurisdiction, (fn. 4) celebrated or rather profaned masses and other divine offices even in contempt of the Keys, thereby contracting irregularity) if and after Thady (who lately, after he had been tonsured by the ordinary, was, in virtue of papal letters ordering provision to be made to him of the said perpetual vicarage of Inyscacyn [sic], dispensed on account of illegitimacy as the son of unmarried parents to be promoted to minor and all holy orders and receive and retain the said vicarage, and who was thereafter successively promoted to the said minor orders and to the orders of subdeacon and deacon, and got possession of the said vicarage) accuses Philip before the above three, to summon Philip, and if they find the foregoing to be true, to deprive and remove him, and in that event to collate and assign the said vicarage of Achadlurcarre, value not exceeding 6 marks sterling, to Thady, who is hereby specially dispensed to receive and retain it, notwithstanding the said defect etc., but is, as soon as he obtains it, to resign that of Inyscacyn [sic]. Mandate (the pope having been informed by Bartholomew Ocathasaydh, scholar, of the diocese of Clogher, that after Bernard Ocathasaydh, perpetual vicar of the parish and collegiate church of St. Lasrianus, Damynys, in the said diocese, was for contumacy excommunicated by the late John archbishop of Armagh, and publicly proclaimed excommunicate, he celebrated masses and other divine offices, even in contempt of the Keys, and incurred irregularity) if and after Bartholomew, who is illegitimate, being the son of unmarried parents, accuses Bernard before the above three, to summon Bernard, and if they find the foregoing to be true, to deprive and remove him, and in that event to collate and assign the said vicarage, value not exceeding 4 marks sterling, to Bartholomew, whom the pope hereby dispenses to receive and retain it, notwithstanding the said defect etc. Vite etc. (P. and H.
