15 Kal. Dec. Avignon. (f. 253d.)	To Richard, bishop elect of Durham. Faculty to be consecrated by any catholic bishop, assisted by two or three others, of his choice. His oath of fealty is to be sent to the pope.
1334. 5 Kal. June. Avignon. (f. 262d.)	To Adam, bishop of Winchester. Indult that he shall not be obliged to appear in person at the Roman court touching the business of his translation from the see of Worcester to that of Winchester, void by the translation of John to Canterbury. Opposition has been made to his translation by John Pebrehave, literate, of the diocese of Winchester, and appeal has been made to the apostolic see.
1333. 4 Non. Nov. Avignon. (f. 263d.)	To William Cosin, subdeacon, of the diocese of Exeter. Dispensation, at queen Philippa's request, on account of irregularity. He, when in minor orders, having been often struck in playing with a clerk, hit him back, and not knowing that he thereby incurred excommunication, was promoted to the orders of acolyte and subdeacon, and held a benefice, value 1 mark, for seven and a half months, after which he was absolved from the sentence incurred.
1333. 11 Kal. Oct. Avignon. (f. 263d.)	To John de Wordeford, dean of St. Martin's le Grand, to whom provision has been made of the canonry of London and prebend of Oxegate, void by the consecration of William, bishop of Norwich, and who has a canonry of Wilton and prebend of Chalk, which provision cannot be executed by reason that omission was made of the hospital of Castle Donington, which he also held. Concession, at the request of the king, whose clerk he is, that the said provision shall hold good and be carried out by the executors appointed.
1334. 5 Kal. Feb. Avignon. (f. 263d.)	To the bishop of London, Edmund Trussel, canon of York, and Edmund de la Beche, canon of Salisbury. Mandate to ascertain the facts touching the burials of Warin de Insula and Henry Tyars, knights and barons, and to grant a faculty to Alice, relict of Warin and sister of Henry, to exhume her husband's body from the burial place of the Friars Preachers at Pontefract, and that of her brother from the Carmelites’ place in London, and re-bury them at Chilton in the diocese of Salisbury, where her ancestors are buried, and where two chantries have been founded.

1334. 10 Kal. Feb. Avignon. (f. 271.)	To the archbishop of Canterbury. Mandate to grant a dispensation to Thomas de Hetile bailiff of Westminster, who has been elected abbot; be, John de Ringstede, infirmarian, John de Tothale, Simon de Piroforde, and Richard de Lardene having been delegated to make the election. Thomas came to the pope to have his election confirmed, when it was found that he lacked letters, but was in other respects a fit person to be abbot. He is to be dispensed on this account, and receive benediction, on taking oath of fealty to the pope and the Roman church.

Mandate to absolve John de Gram, knight, and Mary de Me[n]tet, from the sentence of excommunication which they have incurred by intermarrying, knowing that they were related in the fourth degree, and to enjoin on them a penance, and afterwards to grant them a dispensation to intermarry anew, declaring their past and future offspring legitimate. Mandate to grant a dispensation to Master John Hyne, of Wendlingborn, of the diocese of Lincoln, aged nineteen, to be admitted to a benefice with cure of souls.

Ibid.	To the said archbishop. Informing him that the pallium is sent, and exhorting him to practice humility and justice in the government of his church.

Confirmation, with exemplification, of grants made to the hospital of Leicester, by its founder, by its founder, Henry, earl of Lancaster and Leicester, steward of England, with the constitutions and statutes of the same, dated London, 20 Jan. 1330, and witnessed by Henry de Ferrariis, William le Blount, John de Twyford, Richard de Ripariis, Roger de Cuyssi, knights. A site of four acres is given, and four carucates of land and common of pasture in the earl's park called ‘Leffrith,’ with twenty-six oxen or cows and six horses, two cartloads of dead wood yearly, and the advowson of the church of Frencestria, in the country of Northampton. The hospital is to have a warden, four chaplains, fifty poor and infirm, two clerks, and five women. No one is to frequent taverns or walk in the town alone, or provoke quarrels; the society of women is to be avoided, and none is to be out after a certain hour at night.
