To Roger de Wingefeld. He, by a dispensation given by the abbot of Waltham, by papal faculty, at the request of Aymer de Valentia, earl of Pembroke, to two of his clerks to hold benefices to the amount of 200 marks, obtained the rectories of Wetheryngsete and Sutton, in the diocese of Norwich, in addition to that of Brynton, in the diocese of Lincoln. Roger when nominated was not a clerk of the said earl, and he received little from the two benefices, the bishop of Norwich claiming the first year's fruits. The taxed value of the three does not exceed 62l. 13s. 4d., but the true value exceeds 200 marks. Dispensation to retain the same.
