Enquire at the next meeting of the Commissioners for Prizes
what wine [there] is at Portsmouth for "Beveridge," [Navy
beverage]. |

[Order for] 500l. to be distributed to the Navy for cabbages,
carrots and several roots and lettuce and purslane and other herbs. |

The Commissioners of the Navy and the Victuallers [called in]
together. A letter from the Commissioners of the Navy concerning
the payments of the Victuallers is considered. The several heads
[thereof are] debated and agreed [upon] to the satisfaction of the
Victuallers. |

year in Sir Dennis Gauden's hands and the seamen not paid: and
enquire how Sir George Carteret's ledger differs with Sir Dennis
Gauden's account. |

A caveat entered for Mr. Bernard Howard about a searcher's
place in the Custom House. |

Mr. Cole, Lord Newport's man, [is ordered] to be Receiver of
Hearthmoney for co. Stafford. Send to Judge Milward about it. |

John Rogers to be a landwaiter at Plymouth in the place of
Sebastian Pennicott, deceased. A warrant ordered. |

Sir John Banks (erased), the East India Company and the principal

concerning the Customs [are] to be communicated to the Customs
Commissioners. |

the Navy to cancel and deliver to the East India Company the
charter party and agreement made between said Commissioners and
said Company concerning the ship "Leopard," and the other of the
King's ships that were employed [temporarily] in said Company's
