Dispute about advowson between the prior and Denise de la River taken to k's ct., 23 Oct. Rothewell appealed for tuition of ct. of Canterbury, 18 Nov. Clif pres. by the prior 23 Nov. Claim to preb. by prov. withdrawn by proctor of Fresapanis, 4 March 1317, as case still pending in two cts. (Reg. Martival 11 ff. 56-56b). Coll. by bp. to Charlton, hac vice, by lapse of six months, 8 March. Request from prior received 17 Jan. 1321 for amoval of Charlton and adm. of Clif. Case between Charlton and Clif taken to ct. of Arches and later to Rome, 14 Aug. Final sentence 9 July 1326, accepting pres. of Clif (Reg. Martival 1 38-54, 79-80, 175-224; Reg.
